about
I am a Washington State University 2023 graduate with a Strategic Communication and Public Relations degree from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication.
For the past year, I have been fortunate to work as the Social Media Intern for the University's Marketing and Communications Department. During my internship, I spearheaded content strategy, including daily posting schedule and content creation for all channels, grew TikTok viewers from 8K to +17K, and performed weekly on data analytics for 4 Twitter accounts, 2 LinkedIn accounts, primary Instagram, Instagram story, and TikTok accounts.
Outside of work, I was a member of the marketing team for WSU KUGR radio, where I developed weekly posters and graphics highlighting the weekly radio shows.
Additionally, I managed the WSU Men's Lacrosse team during my senior year. I collaborated with the team captain and coach to secure travel accommodations and transportation and tallied game time statistics for eight games and tournaments.
I enjoy fitness and nutrition, outdoor walks and hikes, and spending time with friends and family.
Video Work
Student-Oriented Campus Videos
Planned, filmed, edited, captioned, and directed student-focused campus videos. The series of "What are you listening to?" "Where did you go for spring break?" and Challenges on campus were the students' favorites.
My Favorite Project
I loved creating this project from start to finish. It captured every beloved aspect of Washington State University.
Although it was my most extended and most time-consuming project, I was proud of our audience's engagement and the project's outcome.
A project I'm proud of . . .
Although many video ideas come from trends on TikTok or Instagram, sometimes trends slow down, and you must create your own. I grew up going to Disneyland and fondly remember the Soaring Over California ride. Using this as inspiration, I made a video called 'Soaring over Pullman' using drone shots of campus to create the same look.
Gameday Recap Videos
I created TikTok & Instagram Reel videos to recap the day and game during the fall football season. These were exciting and energetic, yet required a quick turnaround time, including filming and editing the videos by half time.
